Overview
CardRunner is a local media ingest utility. It runs on your Mac and moves files between your camera cards and your storage drives. We built it to be fast, safe, and private. We do not sell your data. We do not want your footage. We do not build profiles on you.This policy explains the limited data we do collect and why.
1. What CardRunner Does Not Collect
CardRunner does not access, read, transmit, or store any of your media files, footage, photos, project names, folder structures, or file contents. Everything related to your actual media stays entirely on your machine. We never see it.
2. What We Do Collect
a) Purchase information
CardRunner is sold through Lemon Squeezy. When you purchase a license, Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, and payment information to process your transaction. This data is handled by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy. XG Creative LLC receives only the information necessary to issue and verify your license key — your email address and purchase confirmation. We do not store payment details.
b) License verificationWhen you activate CardRunner with your license key the app contacts our licensing server to verify your key is valid. This check sends your license key and a basic device identifier to confirm your license. No personal information beyond what is necessary for verification is transmitted.
c) Crash reporting and diagnosticsCardRunner uses Sentry to automatically report crashes and errors. When a crash occurs Sentry collects and sends the following information to our Sentry account:The type of crash or error that occurredThe version of CardRunner you are runningYour macOS versionYour Mac model identifier (for example MacBook Pro 14-inch)A stack trace showing what the app was doing when it crashedSentry does not collect your name, email, media files, folder names, or any personal content. This data is used exclusively to identify and fix bugs. You can learn more about how Sentry handles data at sentry.io/privacy.
d) Update checksWhen CardRunner checks for updates it sends a basic request to our update server including your current app version and macOS version. No personal information is transmitted during this check.
3. Data Retention
License verification records are retained as long as necessary to support your license. Crash reports collected through Sentry are retained for 90 days and then deleted automatically. We do not retain any other data about you.

5. Children's Privacy
CardRunner is a professional utility not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy we will update the date at the top of this document and note the change in the CardRunner release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
